Chase is a heart stealer! He's a tiny bit precocious but a WHOLE LOT OF CUTE!! He is a clever little dude and a lot of fun. He's confident and friendly and he adjusted to his foster home very quickly. Introductions to other dogs of several other breeds and sizes went very smoothly and housetraining has been incredibly easy. Chase can be a bit vocal in his crate, especially when he is waiting for his breakfast and dinner, as that is where he is fed. His foster mom is teaching him to quiet down and wait after he eats before he is let out. (Asking him to be quiet before is probably a losing battle!) At night he sleeps in his crate, and sometimes he fusses just a bit a first and then settles down to sleep through the night. But this is happening less and less as he adjusts to the routine. His crate is in his foster mom's bedroom where he can see her. Although Chase does have times when he talks a lot, we think Chase was blessed with a lovely voice -- beautiful and resonant to those who enjoy beagles!! He enjoys playing with toys, other dogs and cuddling with his humans. On leash he is a beagle, sniffing and zig-zaggimg but not too bad of a puller. He will chew on the leash though if you are just standing around and he gets bored. Chase is heartworm positive but should do fine with his treatment and we expect he will be ready for sleepover sometime towards the end of October.
