MJ
So far, no accidents in the house, he still marks the deck. He is eating and playing so much better. Hard to train a dog that doesn't eat or play with toys, but he is starting to. If you start petting him and stop, he gets closer and rolls over for belly rubs. Loves people and afraid of cats
MJ is gentle and friendly and, although it an overused word in rescue, we must also say he is just very sweet. From what we know of his past, he lived almost all of his life in an outdoor pen with other dogs. MJ has adapted quickly and very much likes these new creature comforts! He enjoys lying on the sofa with his foster mom and quite naturally learned to roll over for belly rubs. He LOVES soft blankets. MJ walks like a beagle on the leash -- forget a straight line and let's sniff everything along the way! If he were to get loose he would be extremely hard to catch. Currently he sleeps in a crate and he is beginning to do well being crated when left at home alone. His house training is coming along pretty good but he is not yet neutered and still wanting to mark, so foster mom has him wear a belly band. MJ is now starting to play with the other male beagle jn his foster home and he's starting to enjoy toys. He is going to be a great family dog for someone - he loves people! MJ is heartworm positive and his treatment will be scheduled the end of October.
