Our little gem, Diamond has transitioned easily from a breeder Beagle living in an outdoor pen, to a contented house pet. She does enjoy the fenced yard at her foster home and she loves to run -- she is fast! Remarkably, she has done super well with her house training, but she doesn't seem comfortable with being crated. Her foster mom lets her sleep in the bed with her at night. Diamond is a very affectionate pup. Although she is fine with the other dogs in her foster home, she could be quite happy as an only dog devoting herself to her humans. She is still a bit skittish with fast moves and seems a little apprehensive of the tiny little neighbor dogs with their high pitched, persistent barking. She will also howl when she hears sirens -- which most beagle people find delightful. Diamond is scheduled to be spayed soon, but she is heartworm positive so we will also be starting her treatment.
