About Honey VI | |

|
Honey loves kids and watching her zoom around with them in the yard is an absolute joy! She tries hard to be careful but she would probably be best with children a little older than toddler age. Honey can be shy when meeting new people but does best if the new person sits quietly and allows her to sniff them. Then she will warm up after some gentle petting. It might take multiple times meeting someone with positive interactions, but she is still very young so she will likely outgrow this as she gains more experience with people. Honey is typically a very gentle dog with extremely expressive eyes and the softest velvety ears. She was previously in a foster home with a lot of other dogs and did very well, but she does seem to have a prey drive for bunnies, squirrels cats and birds. Honey does pull on leash, but her leash walking skills are improving and are significantly better when the leash is attached to a harness that has a leash connection at the front of her chest. Honey has been making excellent grades in house training and will stand by the door looking at you to signal she needs to go out. She will sometimes whine/bark but usually is silent at the door. At night she sleeps in her crate (door shut) In her mom's bedroom. Usually she sleeps through the night but occasionally will whine when she needs to go out to potty. She also willingly enters her crate for a treat to get closed in when the family needs to leave home. She is very vocal in her crate when first left alone but eventually settles down and will typically sleep. A fenced yard and someone home most of the time would be most important as she needs ample room and time to play.
